Annette O’Neill always had an interest in eating healthy and learning about the clinical side of healthcare. After earning a bachelor’s from UMDNJ in health science, she worked at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for more than seven years, focusing in cardiovascular health and comprehensive nutrition. Annette, who has been part of the Windsor Healthcare team since September 2010, takes on tasks not only on the clinical side, but also in food service, customer service, and education of both patients and staff.
The close rapport between the staff and the patients is one of the qualities Annette loves best about working for Windsor Healthcare. “You really get to know your doctors, and nurses…you feel like you can make a difference here,” she said. Annette enjoys the challenge of having to focus not only on short-term rehab patients, but also meeting certain specific requirements for the elderly. This self-proclaimed “workaholic” always makes sure to get the job done, even if it means staying late. Her advice to everyone else in the healthcare community, “Make sure to have a sense of humor.”
